Choosing Light of Love

Choosing Light of Love
by Loveson G. Flower

The Light of Love is parallel.
It's not enough to know where else
The Light does shine at the same time.
But might we find the Love does rhyme?

Life doesn't repeat. It's true.
But rhymes, it seems, our whole life through.
The patterns start when we are kids;
Like lanterns our hearts shine within.

They know the wounds that need to heal
And show us goons that bleed and steal.
Whom we do choose to make our path
To try to lose our fear-filled wrath.

Divorces. Abandonment.
The wars to bless by wisdom sent.
To make outside by the drama
What is inside. Cry for mama.

Who must leave eventually.
Too soon? Let go of every
Judgement and pain of inner child
That does send again winter foul.

We re-create over again
All of the hate that love knew then.
Trying to make it better now.
I'll try to change cruel fate somehow.

But rhyming patterns do evoke
The same life tattered chains that choke.
The wounded inner child does see
New wounds bled then unconsciously.

Until decision not to try
Does kill the vision of Love high.
A self-fulfilling prophecy
Decides "To Be or not to Be."

How to Let Go of all that pain,
And let Love grow healthy again?
Don't give up. Express it all.
Show the Love. Confess. Then call
To hold real Lovers who love Paul
And grow Love feelings: break the walls.
There’s Love within forsaken halls.

This video is the choosing, introduction / welcome / menu page of "Light of Love," a ≈100-minute DVD collection of "moving" pictures / stories / movements from "a ballet of Love becoming." "Light of Love" was created in about one year to understand and express profound personal truths after a wrenching, relationship-death trauma in 2004.

The intro, choosing page is an infinite loop with 4 variations of the same beautiful song, "Caresse Sur L'océan (Caress by the Ocean)" from Bruno Coulais' "Les Choristes (The Chorists)." Four is the magic, symbolic number for wholeness -- like the 4 dimensions and the 4 seasons. The final variation is of a young boy's beautiful and stirring singing.

The moving, living "Light of Love" is made up of all the colors of the rainbow. It dances and cycles through time from faint to strong and back again, never ending. The 8 different chapters (representing different aspects, epochs, feelings, understandings, sub-parts, stories, etc.) play over and over in their own sub-universes as do our various patterns. The greater Light, represented by the grand, pulsing rainbow; is behind and above our "Light of Love" and seems to pulsate like a universal, living heart-beat. The "Light of Love" seems to be moving towards the greater Light as perhaps an artistic attempt with but limited, human tools to describe an after-death experience, or a Spiritual reality with animated movement, changing colors and shadows, and evocative experience.

How can one express such profound ideas with but "moving" metaphors and "whole" experiences? The "Light of Love" expressions seemed to create themselves. They were not planned, and are perhaps but attempts to express deep personal and Spiritual truths using music, colors, animation, and dance; but with very few words.

The starring character is Gabrielle, perhaps representing our inner feminine who expresses herself with feelings and emotion without words. Other characters include: the "Light of Love" itself, Loveson who sometimes dances with Gabrielle, and moving photos of many friends and family. Loveson, our inner masculine, expresses thinking and analyses most often with language, symbols and (sometimes too many?) words. Thus, the reason for the Heart Song discipline: "Keep the Mind to the rhyme. Let the Heart do its part. So beyond either mode, the Soul shows the road."

Our "nom de bloom," Loveson G. (Gabrielle) Flower, has thus in our anonymous name the different, inner aspects married as another motivating metaphor to better express and become Wholeness / Unity. Wholeness is the overriding hope and goal of Mind-Body-Heart Art.

Jeremy Taylor, the great teacher of Dream Work and author of many books about dreams, believes that every dream comes in the service of Health and Wholeness. Like many art pieces, the "Light of Love" is perhaps like a collection of dreams with similar goals and methods. In Dream Work, to find better Health and Wholeness, one must search for, find and then follow what is the meaning and message the Dream Maker sends.

Overall, "Light of Love" tries to express with artistic, multimedia tools; symbols and experiences about the longing for, hope for, deep pain about, and vision of - Love and its Light - in its many dimensions, changing seasons, complete and incomplete understandings and misunderstandings, and so much more.
